The Street Life Festival takes place once a year in old town of Limassol. It's one of the most popular festivals that take place in this town and has been running successfully for the past 11 years. Apart from the craft stalls filled with lovely jewellery and handmade home decorations, the biggest attraction by far involves the Graffiti artists who attend from all around the world to completely transform the buildings and streets of Saripolou and Athinon. Visitors to the festival will also enjoy performances from different dance crews, music bands, skateboard stunts and street performers. The event is organised by The Copy Shop and 2C Design Box.
Yesterday, for the first time since the launch of the Indian Leaf Collection & Kaleidoscope Collection, I attended my very first festival with a full stall set up with the Baaliyan by Katy earrings on display. From an exhibitors perspective, it was an incredible experience watching the streets of the old town in Limassol come to life and it was great getting to speak to everyone in person about the earrings I make. It was a really successful event and I'm pleased to say that everyone that came over to take a look really liked what they saw :)
I ran a small competition throughout the day for the people who bought earrings from the stall on the day and just picked out the winner in a draw. Congratulations to Elena Theodorou for winning a beautiful pair of Indian Leaves which are featured on our model Alice!
A lot of the Kaleidoscope earrings are now sold out so I will be busy in my craft room this week making some more and replenishing stock so I'm ready for the next craft fair this weekend.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the launch and bought their favorite pair of earrings and a big thank you of course to the lovely Katrina who made sure I was stocked up on hot tea throughout the day to keep me going! I would also like to thank my many photographer friends from Orasis Photo Club & CSJ Photography who took time to take photos and shared them online. To the organizers of the festival - the event was flawless and I'm looking forward to attending again next year already!
